Meet Nat

Vinyasa Yoga Teacher The Zen Story

From my early teens I recall being intrigued and inspired by yoga as I would observe and join my mother practice yoga at home and at a local @swamis.yoga.retreat.

Seeing my mother Sue Ismiel find peace, clarity and strength was truly empowering, particularly as I would witness this during the early stages of her @nads business where demands were high and life was busy.

However, the turning point was when I faced one of my most difficult life challenges, going through my marriage breakdown in my late 20's and becoming a single mother to my precious son. At the time, I felt that my life was over and that I was worthless. It was horrible, I wouldn't wish that feeling on anybody. My emotions went from anger to sadness. I was busy balancing being a mum, a career woman and focusing on my next move.

The love and support of family and friends was beautiful, but it took time to heal. I chose to adopt yoga as a daily practice and soon began to feel its amazing benefits - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Yoga allowed me to be present in the moment, to move and awaken my body while creating more space in my mind. It brought me serenity and peace when I needed it most. I found peace again within myself and beauty within my strength.

These lived experiences are the driving force behind The Zen In Me and why I am passionate about inspiring and empowering people to live their best life and know they have the will, perseverance,

and inner strength to make it through the more challenging times.

Get more out of life

Adopting yoga as part of your daily routine brings you back to the ‘now’. The beauty in this is that you see life for its true beauty, appreciating the simple things. You find the strength to manage any challenges you may face through the power of resilience and acceptance.

Look after your physical body

With no judgement or competition, yoga allows you to nurture and nourish your body through flexibility and strength asanas. In time your body will become more supple, stronger and lighter. Naturally you will feel more energised and refreshed.

Reduces stress levels & minimise anxiety

Practicing yoga has been proven to reduce stress by calming the nervous system and bringing back to its parasympathetic state of rest and digest. Yoga teaches you to be present in mind, body and spirit. It cultivates positive mental health, self-image, and calmness of the mind.

Expand your mind

The yogic mindset allows you to quieten the mind chatter by creating more space between thoughts, you'll find yourself feeling more focused with clarity, giving you the ability to make clearer life decisions.
